Our story
A beacon isn't just a light. It's something that guides people safely to where they're going. That's exactly the role we want to play for homeschool families.
Beacon didn't start on a whiteboard in a boardroom. It started inside a working homeschool co-op, solving real problems for real families — attendance to take each time the co-op gathered, grades spread across notebooks, a schedule everyone needed to see, and duties that had to be shared fairly.
The tools most families reach for are either built for big public schools or scattered across a dozen apps and spreadsheets. Neither fits the way a homeschool co-op actually works. So we built the thing we needed — and then made it good enough to share.
What we believe
You are the primary educator. Beacon organizes the details so you can focus on teaching, not administration.
Homeschooling is full enough. Beacon aims to feel quiet and clear — organization without overwhelm.

The imagery of light guiding the way runs all through Scripture — a lamp for the path, a light on a hill, a voice that says “this is the way; walk in it.” Beacon isn't a “Christian app,” but that picture of gently guiding families toward where they're headed is the heart behind everything we build.
Where Beacon is headed
Beacon began as a student information system, but it's growing into a full platform for homeschool co-ops — with a parent app, teacher and student portals, and a mobile app on the way.
